1. For your safety, please do not use any equipment until instructed to do so. If you arrive for class early, you are not permitted to practice in the dance space.
2. Safe training requires a proper warm-up. For this reason, please be on time for class. Not participating in the full warm up can increase the risk of injury substantially. If you are late and miss the warm up, there is an increased liability to yourself and the instructor as we can not be sure you warmed up effectively on your own. Students arriving 15 or more minutes late will, in the case of experienced students, be expected to warm up and exercise at their own risk. New students arriving 15 minutes or more late will not be permitted to participate.
3. Only indoor shoes, socks, or bare feet are permitted in the studio area. Students are encouraged to dress in clothing that is comfortable to move in. Students will not be required to undress, though the instructor may defer teaching students techniques that require significant grip on the pole if this is not available. In accordance with local law, there is no requirement that nipples must be covered in the studio space, with the exception of performances. It is required that external genitalia be covered. G-strings and thongs are permitted.
4. For hygienic reasons, students are required to wipe down their pole and mat after every use. Disinfecting spray and clothes are provided by the studio. Students are welcome to bring microfiber cloths from home if they choose.
5. Please remove any jewelry that may come into contact with the poles prior to your class beginning.
6. Please do not use any lotions or oils prior to class. Sweating may cause the lotion to be released to the surface of the skin which is then transferred to the poles, making them slippery.
7. Grip samples are available for students to try while quantities last, but otherwise students are expected to purchase their own grip aids.
8. Any student who is intoxicated upon arrival at the studio will not be allowed to participate and will not be provided a refund or credit.
9. For the privacy and comfort of our students, spectators are not allowed in the studio space during class time. Students who are waiting for their next class or cooling down may use the wait area during another class.
10. In the case of audio/video recording or photography, it is required that all parties captured in a recording/image capture consent to this act. Covert recording of any type is not permitted. This includes the use of hidden and wearable devices. It is the responsibility of the individual making the recording to secure the privacy of others. In cases where it is reported to the studio that a recording was made without consent, Trillium Pole Dance will require the recording to be removed and/or destroyed.
11. Breach of a studio policy may result in membership suspension and loss of access to enrollments.
